3-Story Apartment Building to Single-Family Home
This project involved converting a 3-story greystone building into a single-family residence in Chicago.
The existing front windows and trim were removed from the site for restoration. The new oak doors, stairs and interior trim were milled to match their existing counterparts. The home features five fireplaces, with two of the existing oak surrounds restored and reinstalled to match the remaining fireplaces.
A breakfast room and mudroom were added to the first floor, as was a highly detailed master bath on the 2nd floor. The kitchen was remodeled with custom cabinetry and a combination of granite and teak tops.
Stone slabs are featured throughout the kitchen and bathrooms, combined with custom tile work.
